Welcome to In Search of Artemis – A Journey Through Temples, Myths & the Sacred Wild
Hello and welcome! I’m Dr. Carla Ionescu, an ancient historian, explorer, writer, and photographer with an insatiable curiosity for the past. If you’ve ever felt drawn to forgotten temples, ancient myths, and the lingering echoes of the sacred feminine, you’re in the right place.
I call this blog In Search of Artemis because, quite literally, that’s what I do—I search for her, in every fragment of stone, every forgotten sanctuary, every whispered legend that still lingers in the landscape. I am an academic nomad, traveling from site to site, uncovering the temples, artifacts, and stories of Artemis and the world of goddess worship that has long been buried beneath history.
